Two musicians will be making their debuts in television dramas next season on TBS. w-inds. member Keita Tachibana (23) will appear in "Ohitorisama," while Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra's Atsushi Yanaka (42) will appear in "Shokojo Seira."

"Ohitorisama" is a romantic comedy starring Alisa Mizuki as a teacher who falls in love with a younger co-worker, played by Teppei Koike. Tachibana has been cast as one of Koike's friends from college, who works as a part-timer while he tries to determine what he really wants to do in life. The show premieres on October 16.

"Shokojo Seira" is based on the story "A Little Princess," which was adapted as the anime "Princess Sara" in Japan. The drama stars Mirai Shida as the daughter of a wealthy father, but she becomes the victim of bullying after the father dies and his business falls. Yanaka will make regular appearances throughout the story as the father. The series starts on October 17.

Right now the only motivation my parents think I have for wanting to learn Jap is to understand my J-dramas.

Helloooo I have subs why would I need to specially learn Jap to understand it? Besides I pick up Jap from the dramas.

I just LIKE Japanese culture! And plus Japan's leading in the world's research in many areas now, it'll be cool to study and maybe work there.

And DON'T use the whole "you learned French and you dropped it this year, so why learn Japanese now?!"

I've always wanted to learn Jap YOU told me to learn French, so I did! I had NIL motivation for learning French, period.

Okay, not that much compared to Jap, still.

First big phail of the day: I forgot to bring the Teachers' Day gifts to school.

It's fun to see everyone again, could hardly recognise Desmond xD. Well he looks quite different now. Xun Bin, Johnny and Desmond all grew soooo much taller (XUN BIN IT'S A GOOD THING XD). Ahhh so many people! Too many to name I suppose xD It was nice walking around school. Though now everything seems to have shrank.

I found the prettiest, prettiest, Wild Loli dress yesterday.

And it costs $144. And I couldn't even try it on because it was on promotion.

Went to Atsuki-gl in the afternoon, and OMG I totally LOVE that shop. Tried on a really awesome corset-y high waist skirt, and yes it was pretty too. But well, as it turns out, the only bloody stuff I'll ever be able to pull off are punk tops. Siiigh. That thing is $139!!! Jo asked if we could get one of her tops, a $75 white loli top with some piano keys print for the collar and the headdress, and my punk top for $200, and we can swap around and both of us can wear them. But heck, that's still $100 bucks! Like as if I have the money =.=

Anyway, shall talk about yesterday. Morning's concert was amusing, since we played "Don't forget the lyrics!" with past year NDP songs. Ms Chen was totally high during the community singing bit, jumping around getting everyone to sing. I would say it WAS pretty high, at least the couple of us xD

The class party was frickin awesome. I've never seen 302 so high before haha! We were having cake for the August birthdays (Happy birthday Annie, Trang, Stacy and Ms Tay! :D), and the cake ended up being too hard cos we left it in the fridge for 2 days, so Daniel had to hold it down with the plastic "happy birthday" thing while Dillon cut the cake. And ended up Daniel had to eat the bit of cake that was firmly stuck to the "happy birthday" thing. xDDD

Stacy showed off her amazing skill of tossing nuts into the air and then catching them.
Charmaine showed off her amazing skill of epic-failing at tossing nuts into Stacy's mouth. Hahaha no offence ;)

We spammed the board! To make Mr Li feel better about our atrocious Assignment 2 grades xP

After the celebration we went shopping at Far East (as usual) to get Jo a skirt for her new EGA top. Found a pretty cute one for $30. And as the others escaped to Kino, Jose Jo and I went to Liang Court, and YAY WE MANAGED TO STUFF SU IN A EGA TOP! XD Heheh.

Dinner was a Yoshinoya at central, and Jo Su and I spent the remaining 1 and a half hours at TCC drinking Mocha/Tea and talking. With a consierable amount of "hey I think that waiter is cute" between me and Su.

Ok I am staying FAR FAR away from anything caffeinated from now on. I feel horrible. Not mentally, physically. Ok fine mentally too, but I think I put down a lot of my mental burden today.

I guess, despite all the shit (Sorry Su, pun not intended) that life puts us through, as long as we persevere, I think we'll do relatively fine. Even if the school screws up our curriculum, we can always self-study and learn calculus like, right now and stuff. xD Okay nevermind. I fear where this rant might go to.

Mm. And I realised today, after talking to my mom and Ms Liu (about different things, but I learned from both), I realised that you sometimes just have to change your perspective a bit, and be a little more receptive to things, have a bigger heart, and it can solve a lot of problems. Take a lot of burden off your shoulders.

So I guess...

Although I might add, the bit where one guy came out to try out MJ's pelvic thrusts was kind of scarring. >.> 501's was good too, especially the moonwalk @.@ So cool!

Emily had an awesome song~ and LOVED her shoes xD. Trang, like last year, wowed everyone with her freaking enviable vocals. T.T So awesome~ The Korean band had good instrumentals, but fell back a bit on the vocals. Feyra did a great job too, doing an accoustic piece. I meant to post this on Friday, but for fear that Trish would read my blog and find out about her awesome birthday present, I didn't. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRISH!

So Friday I went to Jose's place to make what was supposed to be toffee apples. After a few rounds of Tohou and lunch, we began the havoc. Kitchen = Lab. We were OCDing there about the amounts of everything that we used. But then...

Trial 1: It looked rather ok at first, but after a while the toffee went back to it's sugary clumpy bits. Pretty much scrapped the bunch, though Amanda ate the big apple that was ok.

Trial 2: Everything was fine. It looked awesome. But we left it on the stove for a tad too long (like, 30sec) and there was an interesting smell. Followed by smoke billowing out of the saucepan. We took it out to the backyard and well... Interesting sight.

Trial 3: AWESOME :DDD

Give 3 nerds a few trials and they will be happy to realise they can actually cook.

The highlights of Angels and Demons?

The LHC and the implosion/explosion scene.

Trust moviemakers to twist the storyline. Maybe not beyond recognition, but enough to make us Dan Brown fans want to fling rocks at them. Langdon didn't get his visit to CERN! D:<

Epic Fails of today. Plenty.

For Physics, I was happily doing trigo on the angles, only to realise (after I came out) my calc was set to radian mode.

After the sinking realisation, went to Subway for lunch, and I successfully translated for YS with much accuracy the language we speak whilst ordering your sub at Subway. xD Watched wrestling during lunch from the TV at TS Vision, just across the lobby. Us girls went walking around the shops after that, and when we went to find the guys, found them at the PC store. Trish picked up her imaginary camera, walked over saying "here we find a Wei Ren in its natural habitat..."

Ok, I realised I haven't been writing much about my life. Maa, not that it's THAT interesting, but still.

Saturday went to Lions Home for the Elders. Quite a rewarding trip I suppose. Someone saved the day with origami, so we spent the remaining hour or so of the trip making various origami items for the elders. After Pipa lesson, went to Vivo for lunch and then shopped around, before heading to Sentosa to go cycling.

You know you have been nerdified when you start thinking in terms of momentum, velocity, impact force, friction, kinetic energy, work, power and displacement when you're on a family outing.

Sunday was rather uneventful. Mugged. And mugged. And mugged. And then spent the remaining of the time looking for Versailles songs. I'm now listening to some random Alice Nine songs to decide if I want to start listening to them as well. It's nice rock I suppose. Heh.
